Does something sound different on the scanner? Your ears are not failing you. That is the sound of the new county wide digital trunking network. It seems so far the following agencies have switched over to this: JCSO, MPD, MFD, Mercy Flights, North County Fire, South County Fire.

It took a little time to get familiar with how to program the current scanner to monitor the new trunk system, but we got it. Happy Scanning!
